Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation treatment to patients according to the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription.
- Perform CT Simulation as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist to optimize the patient’s treatment position in comfort and reproducibility
- Utilize the hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to record patient treatment delivery, document patient positioning information, and communicate any pertinent information regarding the patient’s care coordination
- The radiation therapist will ensure a positive and compassionate patient experience by providing support and education
- Perform daily morning QA on linear accelerators and CT simulator
- Participate in on-call procedure
- Schedule patients for simulation and treatment
- Perform daily billing for treatment and simulation
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy
- ARRT Certification
- NJ State Licensure in Radiation Therapy
- MR License (preferred)
