The College of Allied Health Sciences, Augusta University, Augusta, GA, is seeing a twelve (12) month, non-tenure track faculty member in the Department of Undergraduate Health Professions, Radiation Therapy Program. Primary responsibilities are teaching didactic and clinical laboratory courses in the Radiation Therapy Program; participating in recruitment, admissions, and advisement processes for the Radiation Therapy Program; administratively functioning as the Program Director for the Radiation Therapy Program; assisting the department chair with program-related administrative tasks; assisting with the development and delivery of other discipline-specific courses; participating in the process of establishing and maintaining clinical affiliation agreements; and providing research, scholarly activities, and professional service in accordance with effort allocation.
Minimum requirements include:
Documentation of graduation from a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program
Current and unencumbered ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
Master's Degree (with enrollment in a doctoral program related to the imaging/radiological sciences or higher education encouraged)
A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist and as an instructor (clinical or didactic) in a JRCERT accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
Preferred qualifications include:
Demonstrated interpersonal, technical, and educational skills for organization and delivery of professional discipline content, curriculum, implementation, instruction, counseling, and evaluation
High-level knowledge and skills with web-based learning platforms such as Desire2Learn, ECHO 360, interactive educational techniques/technology, distance learning
Knowledge and experience with JRCERT accreditation and learning outcomes assessment process
Ability to collaborate with several academic departments, faculty, and clinical affiliates
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact, discretion, and professionalism
Committed to student success, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic with the ability to adapt to change
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public-speaking skills
Computer literacy with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel
