This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the personnel, procedures and patient care functions of the Imaging Department. The Imaging Department is comprised of: Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography and CT. The manager is responsible for maintaining policies, procedures and standards of care to ensure patients’ needs are met. The manager will act as a role model, demonstrating proactive, collaborative working relationships across all functions to support our interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
Job Responsibilities: • Organize, supervise and monitor the provision of the clinical services, practices and procedures of the Imaging Department • Ensure all related daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual QA procedures are performed • Complete ACR accreditation applications and renewals when required • Adhere to and promote radiation safety compliance and take appropriate action when needed • Manage the scheduling of patients and work with related departments when needed to ensure patient experience is prioritized • Organize staffing and schedules to ensure quality patient care is maximized • Coach staff in a positive manner, fostering a teamwork approach to activities • Routinely review images for technical quality to ensure adherence to required standards of the Radiologist and Medical Director • Perform staff technologist duties as appropriate • Perform other duties as required
Requirements • Florida State Radiologic Technologist certified by ARRT or NMTCB • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) and/or Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Nuclear Medicine (N) and experience with Computed Tomography (CT) • 5+ years’ experience as a technologist • Basic Life Support certification • Venipuncture experience • Computer literacy
