The University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill is seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill a permanent staff scientist position at the Center for Animal MRI (https://camri.org). The candidate will assume the duty of operating and maintaining a Bruker 9.4T MRI scanner, coordinating animal MRI research projects with users, and working closely with other scientists and staff members within the Biomedical Research Imaging Center (https://www.med.unc.edu/bric/). The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, radiological science or related disciplines with at least 3 years of experience with MRI. The ideal candidate should hold an advanced degree related to MRI, have the ability to handle anesthetized rodent subjects, adjust imaging parameters, and troubleshoot for scanner problems. This position expects to offer a starting salary of $40,000–$55,000 depending on experience and will receive standard UNC employee benefits including health insurance and retirement options.
