Reporting to the campus Director, Education with an indirect reporting relationship to the Executive Director, Academic Integrity and Development, the Program Director II, Radiography provides leadership managing any combination of: two campuses, over 250 students or degree program. Manages, plans, and implements the Radiography program in support of College, and/or departmental goals in order to assure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes that meet workplace and placement expectations. Participates in budget preparation and fiscal administration, curriculum development and coordination, determination of teaching assignments, supervision and evaluation of faculty, design and operation of program facilities, and selection/coordination of program specific external facilities and instruction. Provides professional leadership and support for teaching faculty; serves as a mentor and facilitator for faculty assigned; and enables an environment which fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Masters degree required.
Must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital- based program) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in radiography or equivalent.
Current California license/permit as Radiologic Technologist.
Current radiology supervisor and operator certificate.
Current CPR Card.
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience in medical imaging.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.
Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.
Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area.
Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Title IV, California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), California Radiologic Health Branch and other accreditation standards.
Experience with MS Office.
