University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermont’s academic medical center and founding member of the University of Vermont Health Network, seeks a MRI Tech.
The UVM Medical Center is a regional, academic healthcare center and teaching hospital in alliance with the University of Vermont, serving all of Vermont and the northern New York region. We are located in Burlington, Vermont, a small vibrant city situated on the shore of beautiful Lake Champlain.
The MRI technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures following department protocols and standards, including advanced practice MRI scans. You will be working closely with a team of technologists along with the radiologists and other providers throughout our academic medical center. You will support our mission to provide the best care to our patients and families using our state of the art equipment and systems. Being flexible, able to multi-task and willing to keep up in our high-volume, fast-paced department are a must! This is a night position 7pm to 7:30am.
***This position is eligible for a one time sign on bonus in the amount of $3,000.****

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology (CAHEA/JRCT)
ARRT certified in MRI
This position requires verification of your college transcript. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited for an interview
Knowledge of general anatomy, including high level understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, patients and their families, and co-workers
Current BLS certification
Two years cross sectional imaging and/or computer assisted imaging preferred. One year full time experience in MR preferred. Demonstrated superior technical knowledge and expertise in cross sectional anatomy.
