Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is seeking an experienced Imaging Services leader to join our Breast Center. The Manager of the Breast Center has 24-hour management responsibility and accountability for quality and functional excellence of the Breast Center's operations. The Manager manages the staff that provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with accepted ethical and professional practices and all legal and regulatory requirements. Responsible for activities related to the operation, finance, capital, materials management, human resources, project development and marketing.
Assigns and directs activities of Breast Center.
Manages financial and human resources to achieve quality, financial and budgetary goals.
Implements hospital policies according to guidelines.
Develops and maintains procedure manuals according to standards established by accrediting and licensing policies.
Coordinates on-going monitoring, assessment and improvement of quality of care and services provided by the department.
Responsible for recruitment and selection of personnel.
Evaluates personnel in performance of their duties, including merit reviews, counseling and disciplinary actions.
Responsible for marketing and fundraising activities in conjunction with Marketing and Foundation departments.
Provides liaison consultation to other services and disciplines.
Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of departmental equipment to ensure the provision of quality patient care, as well as to provide state-of-the-art technology.
Active in professional organizations, commission or other major professional group.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree; In lieu of degree, may consider relevant management experience.
ARRT certified in Mammography strongly preferred.
BLS certification strongly preferred.
3 - 5 years supervisory experience at a Breast Center/Mammography department strongly preferred.
Five years of progressively more responsible experience in the function, at least one of which must have been in a managerial role.
Organizational problem-solving skills required to implement efficient work processes and to resolve difficult, conflict-oriented situations.
Must possess strong public relations skills in order to positively and effectively present a good image of the organization and the Breast Center to its customers.
Must have strong working knowledge of current breast cancer treatment, equipment and information systems.
Must have a working knowledge of State and Federal regulations in the field of breast imaging.
Proficient in information systems to track and evaluate Breast Center’s performance and budget information.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities necessary to build a cohesive, focused and motivated team. Must have the ability to involve, train and include others in the development of Departmental goals, priorities and programs.
Must be able to work across lines to develop strategic initiatives with the input of physicians, managers and staff. Must possess strong physician relation skills.
Should have the skills needed to effectively oversee multi-site operations.
