The department of System Medical Physics and Radiation Safety at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas seeks a diagnostic medical physicist to join our team. Location: Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Ln. Dallas, Texas 75231
Pay Range: $44.87-$74.36 (salaried/exempt position), commensurate with working experience
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM with rare evenings and weekends
Education: Masters Degree in Medical Physics
Experience: None Required
Licenses/Certification: Medical physicist required upon hire
Duties: Performance evaluations (acceptance/annual) across all imaging modalities; shielding design and verification for imaging installations; patient dose calculations; Computed tomography and fluoroscopy protocol management; radioactive materials license and compliance program support; support personnel dosimetry programs; dose-metric-monitoring software management; hazardous materials (Class 7) shipping; radiation safety education for personnel; protective apparel compliance support; patient case support and consult (I-125, I-131, Y-90).
Qualifications: M.S. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related field; ability to attain state licensure in Diagnostic Medical Physics (Temporary or Full licensure acceptable); Certification in Diagnostic Medical Physics OR in process of certification; strong work and professional ethic; team mindset; goal-oriented.
