The Coordinator Diagnostic Radiology is responsible for coordinating the delivery of Radiology services by assigning technologists work, scheduling patients, checking quality of films, performing Radiology procedures ordered by a physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Additional responsibilities include:
Assigns Diagnostic Technologists and support personnel to work areas and cases based on patient workload.
Schedules patient's appointments in coordination with technologists, physician, test, procedures, etc.
Checks quality of diagnostic examinations to be reviewed by physicians.
Performs radiographic procedures.
Serves in a recommending role for hiring and discharging employees.
Responsible for training, counseling, teaching, and scheduling of discipline of employees working in assigned Radiology section(s).
Education: Work requires knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a two-year radiologic technology program approved by the AMA.
Licensure/Certifications: Registered through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. AHA HS Certification.
Experience: 1-2 years preferred.
