Cancer Care Group, P.C. is seeking a motivated individual to join the physics team supporting the Hux Cancer Center in Terre Haute, Indiana. The cancer center is an ACR accredited, hospital-based, state-of-the-art facility treating 50-60 patients daily. The individual would join the chief physicist, along with 1 physics resident and 2 dosimetrists who are all actively engaged in the clinic.
Equipment: 2 Varian TrueBeam linacs, Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT, Monaco TPS, Mosaiq EMR and a full complement of physics tools.
Responsibilities: All aspects of clinical radiation physics, including quality assurance, radiation safety, treatment planning verification and implementation of new modalities. Mentorship for the CAMPEP accredited residency (affiliate site of the University of Kentucky Medical Physics Residency).
The ideal candidate would be Board Certified with 5+ years of experience. Interest in both clinical duties and special physics projects is a must. The candidate should be experienced in all aspects of therapy quality assurance, 3D and IMRT treatment planning, brachytherapy, IGRT and SRS/SBRT. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment are essential. Prior residency mentorship experience will be beneficial. ABR or ABMP board certification is required.
