Responsible for all Medical/Physics support for radiation oncology and assists managing the radiation safety program. Ensures/advises on the safe and effective use of radiation and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Performing periodic calibrations and performance tests on linear accelerators, simulators, therapy planning systems and dosimetry equipment. Documenting results.
Performing accurate manual and computer aided dose calculations and quality isodose distributions for radiation therapy treatments.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Master’s degree in Medical Physics with a concentration in radiation therapy and a clinical rotation in a radiation therapy department plus
At least one year of full time clinical experience in a radiation therapy department.
Certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Radiation Therapy Physics or Radiological Physics.
