Mammoth Hospital Medical Imaging Department is looking for a dual modality Ultrasound / Radiologic Technologist to join our busy team. This position will be performing ultrasounds and X-rays as scheduled or needed on a case by case basis. You must be a flexible, self-directed, and thrive in a fast paced environment, and be amenable to working either modality as cases present.
The successful candidate will have current BLS through the American Heart Association and hold a current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (or be eligible for registration within 6 months of hire), with Abdominal, Breast, Cardiovascular Principles, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Physicians Vascular Interpretation, Ultrasound Physics/Instrumentation, Vascular Principles/Instrumentation, Vascular Technology subcategories. You must also have a California Certified Radiologic Technologist License and Fluoroscopy License (or be eligible for the fluoroscopy license within 6 months of hire.)
As an Ultrasound / Radiologic Technologist, the successful candidate will perform a variety of Ultrasound and X-ray procedures at a skilled technical level. The candidate must have the ability to apply Ultrasound for diagnosis including Obstetrical, Gynecological, Abdominal, Small Part exams and vascular studies. You will also take x-rays on a full range of patient ages and injury severity from ambulatory to trauma patients.
You must be able to ensure the protection of self, patient, and coworker, know correct procedures for all Medical Imaging documentation, assist and prepare patient for procedures and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of exam rooms. You will also be responsible for the sterility and cleaning of imaging devices.
Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (or be eligible for registration within 6 months of hire) with Abdominal, Breast, Cardiovascular Principles, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Physicians Vascular Interpretation, Ultrasound Physics/Instrumentation, Vascular Principles/Instrumentation, Vascular Technology subcategories.
Current certification as a American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Radiologic Technologist
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Saving Skills card.
One year experience as a registered Sonographer is preferred.
One year experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist is preferred
Proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.
