Rush Oak Park Hospital is seeking Per Diem Mammography Technologists to join the health care team.
The desired candidates will produce high quality breast images for interpretation in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The qualified candidate will demonstrate confidence and compassion when interacting with patients and appropriately answers patients' questions. The candidates will exemplify the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
The desired candidates will have the knowledge of human anatomy, pathology and physiology, and demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. The qualified candidates will also have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, proficient screening mammography with technical repeat of 1% or lower, proficient in diagnostic mammography, proficient in modality physics and operation of equipment, requires full body range of motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary, requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, proficient in image guided breast procedures included but not limited to interventional breast biopsy procedures.
The desired candidate will have an Associate's Degree, formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, successful completion of 40-hour mammography course. Certifications/Licensures: Valid IL Department of Nuclear Safety License; Registry or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART), Valid IEMA license in Radiologic Technology. Schedule: Variable Days and Hours (providing weekend, vacation and call-in coverage); 8 hour shifts; variable hours per pay period.
