Under the direction of a qualified physician and the Imaging Services Manager or designate, this position incorporates all the duties of a staff radiologic and CT technologist.
Coordinates the CT scanning examinations to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.
Works with the radiologist to set standards for CT to ensure quality in techniques, procedures and patient care.
Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure
Performs procedures according to departmental protocol as established by Radiologist(s); understands procedure preparation for general radiology
Uses proper injection techniques for IV contrast injections and adheres to safety and infection control policies
High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training at an AMA approved school.
Must successfully complete 60-day probation period.
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be ARRT Registered in x-ray (R) and CT.
Maintains appropriate CE credits as per the ARRT.
Current CPR for HealthCare Provider required.
