The Bone Densitometry Technologist will be responsible for:
Performing radiographic procedures employing the use of the Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) bone densitometer to produce quality images of various anatomical structures of the body for Bone Mineral Density (BMD) and Body Composition Analysis (BCA).
Operating the peripheral Quantitative Computed Tomography (pQCT) scanner to produce higher resolution images of bone in the arm or leg for bone density, strength and quality measures.
Archiving and printing DXA and pQCT reports for physician interpretation.
To qualify, you must have:
An Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
6 months experience in the field.
Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
Current Massachusetts registration and state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. Certification by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) will be provided as a part of training.
Previous pediatrics experience is strongly preferred.
