The Bronx, NY Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a full-time Therapeutic Medical Physicist for our Radiation Oncology Clinical Practice. Preferred experience with the Eclipse Treatment Planning System, ARIA Record-and-Verify with Varian delivery system, and RadCalc, MapCheck, and ArcCheck QA equipment and software. Prefer a minimum of 2 years dosimetry experience actively generating IMRT, 3-D conformal, electron treatment plans, etc., in a clinic setting.
You must have a Master's Degree or higher in Physics, science, or engineering discipline recognized by an accredited college or university with at least 30 semester hours in medical physics, health physics, radiological science, physics, engineering, chemistry or biology.
You must be board certified or board eligible in the field of therapeutic medical physics by an approved certifying body. The board certificate must be current and must abide by the certifying body's requirements for continuing education. Board eligible must be able to obtain certification within 2 years.
U.S. Citizenship required. Work schedule is M-F, 7-3:30pm with availability for coverage of emergency call (to be shared with second medical physicist).
