Seeking motivated and friendly Radiological Technologist for full-time position. Our employees are our âœfront lineâ for patient care, beginning the moment a patient walks through our door. GoHealth X-Ray Technologist work hand-in-hand with our MD, NP, PAs, and administrative team with responsibilities including providing training and workflow education on patient's intake, collecting and processing payments, assisting with medical tests, following up with patients and health insurers.
Identifies and refines X-Ray workflows
Troubleshoots interface issues w/ EMR and Radiology
Provides QA/QC of Lab and Radiology
Serve as the PACS Admin
Maintains required documentation to adhere to compliance standards
Job responsibilities include:
Creating and executing on training materials related to workflow
Provide training to clinical staff on QA/QC lab and radiology protocols
Assist with onboarding and training of new Medical Assistant hires
Creating documentation to meet compliance standards
Along with the administrative duties, the X-Ray Technologist should be able be able to perform the following duties:
Prepares patient for exam. To relieve patient of pre-testing anxiety, translates examination into layman terms based on professional knowledge. Ensures consent form for procedure is obtained if necessary.
Performs various x-ray exams according to established standards, procedures and procedures of the division.
Positions patient for taking of radiographs according to the departmental standard operating procedures.
Arranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices for patients. Adjusts the x-ray equipment and operates controls to obtain correct exposure Monitors patient's condition in accordance with technical and safety standards. Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the Radiologist. Keys in Patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition. Monitor's patient's condition during the procedure. Operates equipment for transferring computed images to film and archival of disc memory to tape.
Processes and maintains exposed images. Labels film for identification and maintains required records. Utilizes film markers and ensures images are properly marked as the âœrightâ or âœleftâ side. Ensures images are legibly labeled with correct date and patient identification. Enters the exam onto the daily log sheet as needed. Properly completes the correct tracking steps for each examination.
Performs phlebotomy, specimen labeling and handling, and CLIA-waived lab testing. Follows up on test results and interacts with clinicians and patients as directed
Provides intake and welcome services including management of registration data, vitals signs patient relocation within the facility
Performs related duties, as required.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Graduate of an approved Radiological Technologist program, required.
License/Certification: California State - required
Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
