Our Medical Physicist is responsible for proper use, performance and calibration of radiation-producing equipment and materials. S/he will incorporate technological innovations to improve patient/staff safety and assess safety of treatment processes.
Education: In-depth and current knowledge of radiation and an advanced knowledge of Medical Physics with a minimum of a Master's of Science degree in physics.
Licensure: Must be board eligible or board certified through the ABR (American Board of Radiology) or the ABMP (American Board of Medical Physicists). If board eligible, must take exam within one year of hire and pass within two years.
Experience: 1-3 years experience in a Medical Physics environment. Should have SRS, SBRT, instrument calibration and dosimetry experience.
