Supports Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities. Performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply magnetic resonance imaging for radiological diagnosis of patients of all ages.
Education: High school graduate or GED and Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
Experience: CPR required. One year of experience preferred in MRI.
Licensure/Certification: Certified/registered by the ARRT in MRI or certified/registered in an Imaging profession by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS or a candidate for the MRI advance certification by meeting the ARRT candidate requirements. MRI technologists employed after May 1, 2014 have one (1) year to complete their advanced MRI certification. AHA BLS-HCP required. MRI certificate accepted.
Other: Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
